Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jamal Thanks Major General Adel Al-Ghadban and Appreciates His Efforts in Serving the Resilient City.
The Mishkat Nour Foundation for Science and Cultural Enlightenment organized a grand charity festival in Al-Montazah Park in Port Said, attended by Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jamal, Chairperson of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, the executive leaders of the governorate, the foundation’s school students, and thousands of residents from active areas. This celebration is part of the foundation's recognition of providing 8 million services over the past seven years and honoring the academically outstanding students of Mishkat Nour School.
The Festival of Goodness included a large number of activities, foremost among them were medical caravans organized by the foundation in cooperation with the Health Care Authority. These caravans included five clinics: Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and ENT, in addition to mobile clinics from the Directorate of Health Affairs with a team of over thirty staff members. There was also a blood donation caravan in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank. The festival featured an exhibition of handicrafts and manual works with over 100 exhibitors, awareness seminars, talent shows in sports and arts by specialists, and workshops for teaching drawing.
In her speech, Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jamal, Chairperson of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, praised the efforts of Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, as the main supporter of the foundation. She thanked him not only for his support of Mishkat Nour and aiding the community but also for his belief in the foundation's vision and providing all facilities to deliver various services to those in need. She expressed her gratitude to the governor and all agencies involved in charitable work and assisting the community in service areas.
Dr. Al-Jamal highlighted the foundation's celebration of providing approximately 8 million services to residents in various governorates where it operates, noting that in the first half of 2024 alone, 800,000 services were provided to the people of Port Said. She thanked the community members for their response to the foundation's efforts in all educational, social, and cultural fields. She encouraged them to send their children to school to benefit from activities such as foundational education, curriculum teaching, music, choir, instrumental music, drawing, sports, and behavior modification, both for healthy children and those with special needs.
Major General Adel Al-Ghadban expressed his great happiness to be present at this celebration hosted by Mishkat Nour Foundation. He praised Dr. Nour and the foundation's efforts in building the Egyptian individual, aligning with the strategy and goal set by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He pointed out that Port Said has about 270 charitable organizations, but only around 20 are active, with Mishkat Nour standing out as the only one working according to specific programs in all fields aimed at building and modifying human behavior, especially in education and job market preparation, which aligns with the state's approach to elevating the citizen's status and providing all services for a decent life. He called for everyone's cooperation to uplift the nation.
The celebration, presented by renowned media figure Ali Al-Faramawi, a senior broadcaster on Egyptian television, began with the national anthem followed by a Quran recitation by a student from Mishkat Nour School. The foundation’s choir, consisting of over 50 students, performed songs such as "I am a Child of Egypt," "The Successful Raise Your Hand," and "Thank You." The event concluded with Major General Adel Al-Ghadban and Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jamal honoring outstanding students, including healthy students, those with Down syndrome, and individuals with special needs, amidst great joy from the students, parents, and attendees.
The governor, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, toured the medical caravans, blood donation, and craft exhibitions, expressing great satisfaction with the foundation’s activities and thanking Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jamal.
It is noteworthy that Mishkat Nour Foundation has provided 8 million services to citizens in various governorates since 2017, including 800,000 in the first half of this year in Port Said alone, in cooperation with all agencies such as health, comprehensive health insurance, education, neighborhoods, the executive apparatus, roads and housing, adult education, and the National Population Council.
The foundation has been a pioneer in service, educational, and cultural activities, being the first to announce the "Emar" program for the reconstruction and development of alternative slum areas, and the leader in the economic empowerment program, teaching more than 1,000 families handicrafts, sewing, and embroidery, preparing them for the labor market, and organizing exhibitions to showcase their products.
Mishkat Nour has also been at the forefront of educational and cultural programs, with activities including the education of over 1,000 students per academic season, along with classes for Down syndrome and special needs students. The foundation has also led behavioral modification programs for both students and adults.
In addition, the foundation excels in its feeding program, providing thousands of daily free meals from the Mishkat Nour kitchen to the underprivileged in many governorates, particularly in Port Said, where over 1,000 meals were distributed at the festival. The foundation has played a significant role in aiding the people of Palestine by sending dozens of trucks to Gaza and delivering aid and donations to those affected by the war, organizing awareness seminars, and various campaigns to raise awareness, educate, and inform since 2017, especially with Dr. Omar Sharif under the "Hearts" program. The foundation has organized many celebrations and events, most notably religious chanting concerts and theater performances.
