Following the great success of the first dental caravan organized by the Mishkat Nour Foundation in collaboration with the British University in the Al-Rawda district of Cairo, Mishkat Nour Foundation is organizing a large-scale medical dental caravan in Port Said Governorate in collaboration with the British University as part of the Kiosk Akhlaq project. This initiative aims to serve the residents of Port Said in all dental specialties at Mishkat Nour Foundation's Continuing Education Center located in the Ali bin Abi Talib area, Al-Zohour district.
As part of the collaborative effort between the Kiosk Akhlaq project and the British University, the second medical caravan organized by both parties after the Cairo caravan achieved significant success. It saw a high turnout from residents of Al-Zohour and surrounding areas, with hundreds of beneficiaries, both children and adults, arriving from early in the morning to take advantage of the various medical services provided for the first time in Port Said.
The caravan, specializing in dentistry, included over sixty dentists across various dental specialties and was divided into several clinics to cover all areas, such as diagnostics, general dental check-ups, filling, extraction, cleaning, and surgical extraction. The caravan also offered a range of additional medical services, including blood sugar and blood pressure measurements, height and weight assessments, and medication dispensing. Additionally, necessary medications were distributed to patients following their check-ups.
The caravan also featured an early disease detection device, which is the first of its kind in Egypt. This device is used for early detection of all diseases present in the human body within two minutes by simply placing a hand on the device. It measures all body systems and produces a report in a matter of minutes.
The caravan focused on both educational and service aspects by organizing seminars on preventing dental diseases, maintaining oral hygiene, handling dental issues, and the consequences of neglecting dental care over the long term. It also included demonstrations on the proper use of toothbrushes and toothpaste. After the seminar, toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed to children, leaving a positive impression on everyone and receiving high praise from the residents who thanked the organizers for the quality of the services provided.
This caravan is the second in a series of medical caravans organized by the foundation in collaboration with the British University to serve residents in alternative areas across various governorates, following the first caravan held in the Al-Rawda area of Sayyida Zainab, Cairo, about two weeks ago.
In the framework of the ongoing cooperation between the foundation and the university, there are plans to organize many free medical caravans in various specialties across all governorates of Egypt. This initiative aims to provide medical services to those in need and ease the burden on economically disadvantaged families.
This activity is part of the Kiosk Akhlaq project by Mishkat Nour Foundation, which began in 2016 to achieve sustainable development. The project includes various programs, with the medical program being a key component, organizing free medical caravans in all specialties across all governorates. The project has seen great success since its inception, delivering medical services to thousands of beneficiaries across the nation.
