Mishkat Noor Foundation Organizes 10th Community Camp in Port Said
Yesterday, Mishkat Noor Foundation organized its 10th Community Camp at the Cultural Center in Port Said. The event was attended by Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Ms. Basma Abu Sitta, Executive Director of the Foundation, along with a number of public figures.
The camp included a variety of activities organized by the Foundation in the fields of culture, art, and literature, in addition to economic empowerment projects, skills development, and charitable feeding. Among the most prominent items on display at the camp were cleaning products made by beneficiaries of Mishkat Noor's economic empowerment programs, along with a variety of foods prepared by Takaya El-Nas and Takaya El-Moussada for charitable feeding.
Products from the National Bank of Kuwait - Egypt grant were also on display, aiming to teach low-income women the arts of sewing and kilim weaving. This was done in collaboration with the Foundation, and a prominent delegation from the bank's leadership was also present. The camp also featured distinguished cultural and artistic activities, such as:
* Launching the "Adeeb" initiative for literary, artistic, and visual appreciation, featuring the works of writers, poets, and intellectuals, with the participation of a number of prominent intellectuals from Port Said, Dakahlia, and other governorates.
• A fine arts painting exhibition.
• A photography exhibition, with the participation of a number of prominent artists and photographers.
At the conclusion of the events, Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal honored the participating writers, poets, and artists, announcing the launch of the "Adeeb Cultural Project" and the "Mishkat Nour" Salon, which will be launched in the coming period as a platform for displaying and discussing the works of Egyptian writers, intellectuals, and artists, and in support of the cultural movement in Egypt.
The Mishkat Nour Choir also presented distinguished singing performances using sign language, which was taught to children at the Foundation's Skills Development Center. In addition, educational workshops were organized for children in the fields of drawing, music, singing, and acting. The camp was well received by attendees, who praised the diverse activities it included, the cultural and service diversity, and the excellent organization.
