Teaching and training women in handicrafts

As part of the Mishkat Nour Foundation's celebration of the "September Month of Ethics" initiative, the foundation's branch in Port Said concluded the first free training course for women in handicrafts. This course is part of the Economic Empowerment Program, one of the programs of the "Ethics Kiosk" project, which aims to achieve sustainable development in Egyptian society.
This course comes within the framework of a partnership with the "Tweret_Taweret" initiative to empower women economically, eliminate gender-based violence, and integrate people with disabilities into the labor market. The initiative is designing this program and providing job opportunities in cooperation with Mishkat Nour Foundation to enhance women's craft skills and provide them with job opportunities.
The first two-week course taught 20 women the skills of making eco-friendly bags. The course concluded with each trainee producing two bags as a graduation project, with all participants successfully completing the training. This course aims to prepare women for the labor market, with the aim of increasing their income and providing a stable source of livelihood for their families.
