Governor of Port Said, and Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chairman of the Mishkat Nour Foundation, inaugurated the second phase of the development of the Fatima El-Zahraa area
Amidst celebrations by thousands of residents, Adel El-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, and Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chairman of the Mishkat Nour Foundation, inaugurated the second phase of the development of the Fatima El-Zahraa area in the suburbs district. The project, implemented by the Mishkat Nour Foundation for Knowledge and Enlightenment, was inaugurated this afternoon by Adel El-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, Engineer Amr Othman, Deputy Governor, and executive leaders. Amid a festive atmosphere attended by thousands of residents of the Fatima El-Zahraa area and the suburbs district, Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chairman of the Foundation, welcomed Adel El-Ghadban and his companions. Adel El-Ghadban and Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony, amid cheers and ululations from the residents, who expressed their happiness at the completion of the development and the upgrading of the area to its highest levels. Hundreds of balloons were released in celebration of the event. In her speech, Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Chairperson of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, congratulated the residents of the area on the completion of the second phase of development, which upgraded the internal and external buildings, streets, and lighting. She thanked Adel El-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, for his significant role in the development process, which was carried out in partnership with the governorate. She also thanked the Governance Department, the Housing Department, the Suburbs District, the Education Department, and Atlas and Seif Companies, which implemented the project.
El-Gammal praised the role of the Mishkat Nour Foundation team, saying that they are the people of Port Said who provide services to the governorate's residents, including aid, education, awareness, development, and organizing medical and educational convoys. The required medications will soon be distributed in the medical convoys, with the approval of Adel El-Ghadban, in cooperation with the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority and Dr. Mustafa Shaaban.
A detergent manufacturing project was organized in the Fatima El-Zahraa area, where residents participated and received the necessary training in detergent manufacturing. They succeeded in producing more than 13,000 cartons of detergents, which are scheduled to be distributed throughout Port Said Governorate. There are plans to increase productivity in the future to achieve self-sufficiency for the governorate and government agencies. This will contribute to increasing the income of hundreds of families receiving training in various crafts such as sewing, crochet, gypsum, kilims, embroidery, beading, and more.
Al-Gammal, head of the Mishkat Noor Foundation, called on the residents of the area to preserve the area and its facilities, educate their children, adhere to good behavior, treat others with kindness, and adhere to the morals of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on his birthday.
For his part, Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, expressed his great happiness with the completion of the second phase of the development of the Fatima Al-Zahraa area. He noted that he had been living in the same location since 2011, and that the area suffered from slums and dilapidated homes. However, the state built high-quality housing in the area and improved its efficiency in cooperation with the Mishkat Noor Foundation. Maintenance was carried out inside the residential units, improving every aspect of them, in addition to the external development of the buildings, painting them, and making them appear better. The governor also announced the start of the third phase of the development of the Fatima Al-Zahra area, in cooperation with the foundation. This will be implemented after the completion of the second phase. The development aims to provide a suitable environment for a decent life and improve the quality of life in the area. The street infrastructure will be improved, new lighting will be provided, and emphasis will be placed on teaching children and students how to maintain cleanliness and order and develop their behavior.
The governor praised the Mishkat Noor Foundation for its significant role in educating and informing students of all ages, and providing in-kind, medical, and service assistance to the community. He thanked Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Jammal, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, for her significant efforts and success in providing services and assistance to those in need. He also thanked a team of the city's valiant citizens who are dedicated to serving their families in various fields.
The governor concluded his speech by congratulating the residents and stated that the area is regularly visited every two weeks to monitor developments and ensure the general condition of the area. The Mishkat Noor Foundation is present in the area around the clock to receive complaints and provide services. The ceremony, hosted by prominent media personality Mohamed Saad, opened with the playing of the national anthem by the instrumental band of the Foundation's Continuing Education Center. Two musical pieces were then performed, and the Foundation's choir sang "Egypt is My Mother" and "Long Live Egypt" in sign language. The audience interacted greatly with the musical and singing performances, and the governor expressed his interest and appreciation for the band members and took commemorative photos with them.
