A Great Success for the Middle School Certificate Convoys
Port Said Governor Praises Large Attendance and Thanks the Mishkat Noor Foundation and the Ministry of Education
The free final review convoys for the Middle School Certificate concluded today. The five-day convoys were held in Port Said under the patronage of Major General Adel Al-Adban, Governor of Port Said, and organized by the Mishkat Noor Foundation for Knowledge and Cultural Enlightenment in cooperation with the Port Said Education Directorate.
The Governor was keen to attend the closing day and meet with students at Port Said Girls Secondary School, in the presence of Dr. Nour Al-Hoda Al-Gammal, Chair of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education.
The Governor expressed his happiness with the large turnout witnessed by the convoy, emphasizing that the school is the legitimate entity from which students derive their future personalities. He emphasized the importance of paying attention to and relying on the textbook, noting that it is prepared by the most experienced teachers specializing in the academic subjects. Al-Ghadban warned against private lessons, which place families at a greater cost than they can afford, distract students, and cause a decline in their academic performance. He called for commitment to school attendance.
The governor thanked Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal, Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, and all the teachers and organizers of the educational convoys for the preparatory certificate exam, wishing all students success.
The educational convoys, held for the first time in Port Said this year, were for a comprehensive review of the subjects of Arabic language, Islamic education, social studies, mathematics, English language, and science, with the help of a select group of professors specializing in setting exam questions in all subjects.
The convoys launched on Sunday, May 7, and concluded today. They witnessed a large turnout of students from all schools hosting the convoys in the governorate, including the cities of Port Said and Port Fouad. Daily attendance exceeded 1,700 students, both male and female, attending the final reviews for all subjects at the Intellectual Education and Port Said Girls' Secondary School in Port Said and the Al-Khulafaa Al-Rashidin Preparatory School in Port Fouad. The Foundation and the Education Directorate were keen to broadcast the convoy's activities live on the official Facebook page of the Mishkat Noor Foundation. This facilitated the convoy's attendance for our children who were unable to attend due to circumstances, and also enabled them to review it in the future. The Mishkat Noor Foundation, in cooperation with the Education Directorate, is expected to organize a free educational convoy soon for students in the governorate to review their final high school exams.
