Under the patronage of Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, the Mishkat Nour Foundation for Knowledge and Cultural Enlightenment organized the Eid Cookie Festival for the fourth year in the streets of Port Said on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Amid the joy of the city's residents, vehicles carrying cookies and Eid biscuits, decorated with balloons and an awareness-raising puppet theater, roamed the streets of Port Said. They set off from the governorate building, touring the streets of July 23 and Tarh Al-Bahr, and touring most of the governorate's neighborhoods, spreading happiness among citizens.
These were decorated with festive songs, and featured entertaining awareness-raising puppet theater performances that delighted both children and adults. They even reached the suburban neighborhoods. Under the supervision of the Port Said Governorate, the foundation distributed half a ton of Eid cookies and cakes, produced by needy families, to beneficiaries from the Al-Dawahi neighborhood, Al-Qabouti, Fatima Al-Zahraa, Al-Labbana, Al-Zohour, and other families supported by the Mishkat Nour Foundation. The foundation also organized a clothing exhibition at the Al-Qabouti Youth Center, attended by hundreds of underprivileged families seeking Eid clothing. Hundreds of items were distributed free of charge, to the delight of those in attendance.
