Success Story in the Development of Al-Amal Area in Port Fuad

The Al-Amal area in Port Fuad was in need of complete reconstruction and behavioral adjustment for all its residents. Thanks to the grace of God, Mashkat Noor Foundation implemented the Ethics Kiosk project with all its programs simultaneously and in the same area.

 

 This initiative worked on modifying behavior and raising sustainable development rates.

 

The development in the area included:

 

  • Removal of 33 tons of waste from the area.
  • Commencing a behavioral study of the area and implementing behavior modification systems.
  • Replacement and modification of the entire internal and external sewage network.
  • Maintenance and renovation of all inspection chambers.
  • Maintenance and renovation of insulation on roofs in all buildings.
  • Demolition and replacement of facades in 11 buildings, along with complete plastering.
  • Renovation of staircases in 11 buildings.
  • Installation of an electrical network throughout the area.
  • Collaboration with the governorate in closing waste collection centers and excavating in the area.
  • Distribution of necessary pesticides to disinfect the area from rodents resulting from garbage stores.
  • Implementation of pavements and interlocking throughout the area.
  • Paving the area in collaboration with the governorate.
  • Finishing building facades with vibrant colors.
  • Establishment of a system to maintain the cleanliness of the area.
  • Training a team to modify behavioral aspects of the area through the Ethics Kiosk project.
  • Implementation of small projects for the people of the area.
  • Providing all necessary social and medical assistance.

Before working in the Al-Amal area in Port Fuad, the impact measurement was zero. After working and implementing the Ethics Kiosk project and its programs entirely in the same area simultaneously, the impact measurement rate became 60%. This percentage was confirmed after the latest impact assessment studies over six years.

 

The number of beneficiary families in the area after implementing the Ethics Kiosk project: 1056 beneficiaries.
