Success Story in the Development of Fatima Al-Zahraa Area

Fatima Al-Zahraa Area is one of the regions that required complete reconstruction and behavior modification for all residents of the area. Thanks to the grace of Allah, Mashkat Noor Foundation implemented the Ethics Kiosk project with all its programs simultaneously and in the same area. 

This effort aimed to modify behavior and elevate sustainable development rates.

 

The area underwent development in three stages, including:

 

  • Removal of 220 tons of waste from the area
  • Commencement of a study on the behavior of the area and the establishment of behavior modification systems
  • Replacement and modification of the entire internal and external sewage network
  • Renovation and maintenance of all inspection chambers
  • Maintenance and renovation of insulation on roofs in all buildings
  • Breaking and renovating facades of 85 buildings, complete plasterwork
  • Renovation of stairs in 85 buildings
  • Installation of an electrical network throughout the area
  • Collaboration with the governorate to close waste collection centers and excavate in the area
  • Distribution of necessary pesticides for purifying the area from rodents resulting from waste stores
  • Implementation of pavements and interlock throughout the area
  • Paving the area in collaboration with the governorate
  • Finishing facades of buildings with vibrant colors
  • Establishing a system to maintain the cleanliness of the area
  • Training a work team to modify behaviors in the area through the Ethics Kiosk project
  • Implementing small projects for the people of the area
  • Providing all necessary social and medical assistance
  •  

Before the intervention in the Fatima Al-Zahraa area, the impact measurement was zero. After the intervention and the complete implementation of the Ethics Kiosk project and its programs, the impact measurement rate became 70%. This percentage was confirmed by the latest impact measurement studies conducted over six years.

 

The number of beneficiary families in the area after the implementation of the Ethics Kiosk project reached 13344 beneficiaries.
